Our national climate change policy and the Paris accord don't just have legal implications for airport expansion in the UK. CPRE Sussex believe that we must rethink fracking and other forms of oil extraction too.

Affordable housing seminar: "excellent"

There was an excellent turn out for the CPRE Sussex Affordable Housing Seminar at Barnham on 9th November.

For many people, aircraft noise is a real problem. Research shows that aircraft noise is more ‘annoying’ than road or rail noise and that we are becoming increasingly sensitive to it.

The Wealden Local Plan is rejected

Planning Inspector Louise Nurser has written to Wealden District council advising that the Local Plan be withdrawn due to the ‘duty to cooperate’ and the “the lack of constructive engagement with neighbouring authorities and Natural England in respect of impacts on habitats and landscape and in respect of the issue of unmet housing need in Eastbourne."
