Major Roads or Major Investment in Multi-Modes?
CPRE Sussex submitted a response to the DfT Major Roads consultation. We believe that there should be a wider plan for connectivity and investment in new roads or bypasses should be just one piece of this bigger picture. We are also concerned that the environmental and safety elements of proposals are so limited. You can download our full response below.
WSCC/SDNPA Joint Minerals Local Plan Proposed Modifications
CPRE Sussex submitted a response to the West Sussex County Council and South Downs National Park Joint Minerals Local Plan proposed modifications consultation. We were only able to comment on the modifications.
CPRE Arun respond to the Local Plan Modifications
Following the Government Inspector’s hearings at the ADC offices late last year, the Council produced a set of Modifications to the Local Plan. They were formulated considering the representations and comments made by participants that voiced their objections at the hearing and the inspector’s initial findings.

It is now becoming obvious in many areas of the country that our bus routes are being severely cut back and in some instances are being removed. Private companies will assess all their routes and those that are not viable for whatever means will be re-routed, partly withdrawn or withdrawn altogether.
