Our key concerns are the high housing target and potential harm to protected sites such as the Ashdown Forest and Pevensey levels. Monitoring has shown that the Ashdown Forest is being degraded. We would like more action to reverse this decline and restore the Forest. We want to ensure that the special rural character of the district is not harmed by growth and the tranquility, dark night skies, wildlife and beautiful landscapes are protected.
