Our Summer visit will be to Charleston Farm on June 14th. We will be inviting members from Wealden and Brighton & Hove.
Currently our main concerns are:
- Proposed alterations to the A17 from Eastbourne to Lewes, its future safety and any diversion across arable land to Polegate.
- Solar farms on agriculture land, their visibility from the Downs especially, and the screening off of public footpaths with industrial fencing.
- Housing developments in Lewes district with respect to the use of too few windfall sites, encroachment on greenfield and SSI sites, the proportion of affordable houses and the development of the necessary infrastructure.
