CPRE Horsham District response to Horsham District Planning Framework Proposed Submission
Written by Roger F SmithCPRE Sussex Horsham District have submitted a response to Horsham District Council’s ‘Horsham District Planning Framework (HDPF) Proposed Submission’, which was subject to a 6-week public consultation closing 27 June.
CPRE Sussex made a submission to the South Downs National Park Local Plan Consultation. We shall be publishing the details of our submission shortly.
The Brighton & Lewes Downs Biosphere was assigned the designation by the United Nations on June 11 2014 as part of the Man and the Biosphere project led by UNESCO.

Written by CPRE SussexCPRE Chichester District responded strongly to an application by Celtique Energie for "exploratory drilling" for shale gas exploration at Kirdford, West Sussex. (WSCC/083/13/KD).
In the response, Richard Hill of Chichester District warned of potential risks to the local environment, to risks from groundwater pollution and stated that: "the result will be the inevitable destruction of the present quality of life of most residents living near each site."
