A recent Civitas report shows how house-builders are under no regulatory obligation to meet Local Planning Authorities' (LPAs) forward 5 year-supply trajectory as determined by their 'Objectively Assessed Need' for housing.
CPRE, along with other organisations including the RSPB and WWF, are supporting an MPs Environment Pledge. MPs signing the pledge, drawn up by Green Alliance, will commit to keeping strong environmental and countryside protections in place following the EU referendum. The full text of the pledge and the list of MPs who have signed up so far can be found on the Green Alliance website.
Our garden party at to celebrate CPRE’s 90th anniversary was a wonderful occasion. We had a fitting 90 guests and enjoyed the lovely setting of Hever Castle. It was also an opportunity to raise our concerns about airport expansion as well as mark 90 years of campaigning to protect our amazing countryside.
