The meeting was opened by CPRE Sussex President Lord Egremont who introduced Crispin Truman, the new CEO of CPRE nationally. Crispin gave a presentation (LINK) to outline priorities for CPRE nationally in terms of the countryside and additional support which would be given to branches. After formal business and reports from the Chair, Director and Treasurer, thanks were given to Sas Drury, our outgoing Finance and Admin Officer and Lorna Train our events volunteer and all staff. Clare Blencowe gave a fascinating presentation (LINK) about the Sussex Biodiversity Records Centre. After a buffet lunch, many CPRE Sussex members braved the hot weather for a guided walk around Iping common.
