Tree felling at Hastings holiday park: "harmful to ANOB"

Friday, 28 September 2018 09:53

Stephen Hardy, CPRE Sussex Trustee, was among the objectors to an application to fell 71 trees at Beauport Holiday Park.

Download the objection letter below.

Writing in Hastings Online Times, objectors criticised plans to remove 71 trees to which Tree Protection Orders are applied, and cut a further 20 trees to around half a metre in height. The removal of the trees would significantly reduce screening and wildlife habitats and contribute to the degradation of landscape in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and in a holiday park which describes itself to visitors as "a nature lovers' paradise".
