The Lewes District Core Strategy (Local Plan part 1), revised to include an overall housing target of 5,700 new homes, was submitted for examination on Tuesday 16 September.
The Newick Neighbourhood Plan was submitted for examination recently, and is now out to consultation from 1 September to 13 October 2014. The neighbourhood plan allocates sites for 100 new homes over the next 20 years. This is the first in Lewes District to reach the formal submission stage, and the local branch of CPRE will be submitting supportive comments.
The Ringmer Neighbourhood Plan was formally submitted to Lewes District Council and the SDNP Authority on 15 September 2014. It will shortly be submitted for consultation.
