LOCAL PLAN

Horsham District Planning Framework (HDPF) Proposed Submission May 2014.
Six week consultation ends 27 June at 4.00pm:

13000 houses (650 houses pa) in the HDPF plan-period 2011-31.

 

Two strategic sites identified for development in the HDPF:

LACK OF A 5-YEAR HOUSING LAND SUPPLY EXPLOITED BY DEVELOPERS

Meanwhile communities in Horsham District are vulnerable to developer-imposed development because the district does not have a 5-year housing land supply, which requires an impossible-to-attain annual build rate of more than 1200 dwellings per year to meet.

Erection of up to 102 dwellings (Outline)

Developer-led.
Countryside adjoining Storrington’s built-up-area - Issues include impact on landscape and setting of listed building and the cumulative social impact of previously approved developments.

DC/13/0787
Land at Junction of Stonepit Lane and West End Lane, Henfield, West Sussex.
Development of 160 residential dwellings.

Developer-led.
Countryside outside of Henfield’ built-up-area. Issues include detrimental impact on landscape and setting of a listed building and infrastructure and the cumulative social impact of previously approved developments.
