Max 12 people per visit

The Brighton and Hove Wastewater Treatment plant has now passed its sell by date. At massive expense, it has moved 11 miles eastwards to a state of the art location at Peacehaven. A series of tunnels and pumping stations now transfers Brighton’s waste water to this new Southern Water site which sits unobtrusively and almost invisibly in the rolling South Downs. In the spirit of sustainable buildings it boasts a huge grass covered roof and has other green credentials to form an environmentally friendly complex. The treatment works has become the largest project ever undertaken by Southern Water.

Our visit will last around 1.30 hours and will include an introductory video and guided tour of the site. Having only opened at the beginning of April we shall be one of the first groups to be welcomed on site. Car parking is available.
