The Knepp Castle Estate covers 3500 acres and has been in the ownership of the Burrell family for over 220 years. In 2001 the traditional way of farming on the estate ended when the focus shifted entirely to conservation. A series of significant regeneration and restoration projects were initiated aimed primarily at nature and conservation with less intensive methods of meat production. We will be taken on a guided tour of the estate in a tractor and trailor so numbers will be limited.
