CPRE Sussex urges National Park to reject damaging A27 Arundel bypass options

David Johnson, CPRE Sussex vice chair, spoke at the South Downs National Park meeting (1st October) to urge the Authority to reject damaging options for the Arundel Bypass through the countryside, alongside a range of wildlife and countryside groups.

He said “Recognising the climate change emergency, the current Highways England proposals can only undermine both key duties of the SDNP and, furthermore, go against the Glover Review with its ambition to expand the future impact of national parks and protected landscapes for the greater wellbeing of more diverse populations.”
