Planning

CPRE Sussex is warning that the Government’s new planning rules (NPPF) published yesterday on July 24, will make it more difficult than ever to protect some of Sussex's most beautiful countryside.

CPRE Sussex Chair, David Johnson and Trustee and Chair of the Protect Sussex Group, Dr Roger Smith wrote to all Sussex MPs with concerns about the new NPPF. Their Letter (see below) outlined why the new NPPF would not lead to the right outcomes for local people and the environment.

West Sussex County Council planning committee at County Hall in Chichester today (19th June) decided in an 8 to 4 vote to dismiss the planning application by haulage firm, Britaniacrest, for a “Recycling, Recovery and Renewable” thermal treatment facility in Horsham.
